Support SafeHouse Center

The guild engages in charitable efforts in support of SafeHouse Center, the Washtenaw County domestic violence shelter.
GAAQG members have donated thousands of quilts to SafeHouse Center residents and raised thousands of dollars for the organization.

As a GAAQG member free fabric kits and SafeHouse Sew-In events are available to make quilts for SafeHouse Center

Join A Small Group

As a GAAQG member, a great way to meet people is to join a small group.

These small groups are the heart of our guild. They provide friendship and growth and are well worth the effort to join. Some of the small groups meet in person and others through Zoom.

The focus of the groups vary from making quilts for SafeHouse to Art Quilts to exploring new techniques.

Get Involved

GAAQG operates entirely on volunteer energy. There are many tasks, both large and small, that contribute to the vibrancy of our Guild, from serving as a board officer to helping at one of our special events.

When you renew your membership annually, you can express an interest in volunteering or sharing a special skill.

"I was struck by the energy and passion of the group and really wowed by your meeting space, especially the tech aspects. It was a dream gig to have someone doing sound and lights and handling Zoom and all that in such a professional way. I could relax and just do my thing, deliver my message. You guys are so lucky!"
